Wisdom for sale

Wisdom and enlightenment are everywhere. One of the Bibles I read often is The Contemporary English Version (American Bible Society) called, "SEEK FIND - The Bible for all people." You will never guess where I purchased it. Office Depot! It was a steal at a discounted price of $3.99. This Bible, among others, I read, is more straightforward. The verse I have come to love and relates as we own the Wisdom that is ours at this wondrous time of our lives is found in Proverbs 4:6-9,

4:6, "If you love Wisdom and don't reject her, she will watch over you. 4:7, The best thing about Wisdom is Wisdom herself; good sense is more important than anything else. 4:8, If you value Wisdom and hold tightly to her, great honors will be yours. 4:9, It will be like wearing a glorious crown of beautiful flowers."

Who doesn't want to wear a crown if your woman at some point in your life? But, honestly, Wisdom protects us more than almost anything. In Proverbs 2:4, "Search for Wisdom as you would search for silver or hidden treasure." This is a direct command, not the next best thing to do, the first thing to do. I truly believe at this time in our lives, when the world's focus is on the outward appearance, it's easy to compare ourselves to others; however, Wisdom is a gift one cannot buy. Wisdom came to me through years of living, loving, raising my children, my mistakes, and prayers and reading a chapter out of the Book of Proverbs almost every day since 1985. Wisdom is much better than youth.

The only thing I believe I would go back in time and change is the way I felt about myself. I wish I would have trusted myself, cherished myself, honored my glorious body, as well as my talents. I wasted years trying to live by the light of others' expectations. So, in launching the new website I will be gleaning from my own experiences in the songs I have written.

My hope is that it touches each woman who visits; “I am Belinda,” and in doing so it makes us think.

Are we chasing after something that is not necessary?

Why not ask Wisdom what we shall do next? I did.
